Published November 8, 2001

KASUR, Nov 7: A man allegedly killed his sister and her paramour with the help of his two accomplices in Sanda village, Ganda Singh Wala, on Wednesday.

One Abdul Aziz told the Ganda Singh Wala police that his brother Nazir Ahmad had set up a workshop of agricultural tools at Sanda Phatar. He had employed one Shabbir Ahmad at the workshop. Shabbir’s mother, Anwar Bibi, used to visit the workshop to see her son. One of the brothers of Anwar, Allah Rakha, suspected that she had developed illicit relations with Nazir.

In the meanwhile, a monetary dispute arose between Nazir and Allah Rakha. Nazir went to Shabbir’s house to settle the issue with Allah Rakha where the latter stabbed the former with the help of Ashiq and Rang Ilahi. Later, the accused stabbed his sister to make it an ‘honour killing’ incident.

Police are investigating.
