United Nations role slammed

By Our Correspondent

SWABI, Oct 13: The Defence Council of Afghanistan and Pakistan (DCAP), has flayed the UN for not intervening to halt aggression.

“The world body does what the US says which led to the victimization of innocent Afghans,” it noted.

The defence council of Afghanistan and Pakistan held a meeting at Jamat-e-Islami’s office here Saturday which was attended by the former provincial general secretary of JIR (F) Najeem Khan advocate, district Amir of JI, Mohammad Usman, district chief of DCAP Maulana Mian Gul and others.

They decided that a protest demonstration will be staged at Topi on Monday against the US aggression on Afghanistan and finalized arrangements for doing so.

The DCAP leaders said the protest against the US attacks will continue unabated if no change in the Washington policy vis-a-vis Afghanistan occurred.

They opposed the government decision of giving the country’s airbases to the US and its allies to attack Afghanistan from Pakistan’s soil, and vowed to stand firm with their Afghan brothers.

They also opposed the US decision to freeze accounts of Jaish-i-Muhammad, saying those who occupied the Muslim land and wanted to victimize them should be targeted.

The US and its allies ought to make a difference between a freedom struggle and terrorism.

They also flayed the OIC for failing to play its role in halting the US aggression.

They said that Muslim leaders should embark on awakening of their respective masses against Washington’s nefarious designs.
