Iftikhar bowls ADBP to victory

KARACHI, Oct 12: Paceman Iftikhar Anjum bowled Agriculture Development Bank of Pakistan to an emphatic 134-run victory over Wapda on the final day of the four-day Patron’s Trophy match at Faisalabad’s Iqbal Stadium Friday.

Iftikhar captured seven for 80 as Wapda, resuming this morning at 31 for four and chasing 312 for victory, were bundled out fro 177.

Iftikhar finished the match with impressive figures of nine for 137.

Wapda’s Rehan Rafiq delayed the inevitable by scoring 74 off 94 balls. He featured in a face-saving 101-run eighth wicket stand with Kashif Raza after Wapda had slumped to 56 for seven.

Kashif contributed 36 with the bat.

Iftikhar’s new ball partner Faisal Afridi bagged the remaining three wicket conceding 40 runs to wrap up the game with match figures of six for 90.
