HYDERABAD, Oct 12: Tehrik-i-Jafria Pakistan (TJP) observed protest day here on Friday against the American air strikes on the innocent people of Afghanistan.
Speaking at the rally at Qadam Gah-i-Moula Ali after Jumma prayers, Allama Mohammad Ali Jarwar, Kazim Shah Naqvi, Allama Altaf Al-Hussaini and others expressed solidarity with the Afghan people and demanded that the attacks on the Afghan people should be immediately stopped.
They demanded that the foreign forces should not be allowed the use of Pakistani soil for aggression against the innocent people of Afghanistan.
LABOUR PARTY: Labour Party of Pakistan (LPP) has condemned fundamentalism and terrorism as well as the American attack on Afghanistan on the pretext of eliminating terrorist activities.
Talking to the party organizers and secretaries here, the senior vice chairman of the LPP, Makhdoom Rasheed said that the capitalist countries led by the US were trying to protect their markets and take over new markets in the garb of crushing terrorist activities.
He said that making Osama bin Laden and the Taliban scapegoats was part of this strategy.
The leftist leader deplored due to religious extremism, half a million Afghan people had been killed and more than four million had been compelled to leave their country.
He said the terrorists and religious extremists were the enemies of humanity as were the aggressive designs of America.
He said to end international terrorism, capitalism, religious extremism and globalisation, it was necessary that the people of the world rose against these evils.
The provincial chairman of the party Dost Mohammad Channa and Umer Baloch also spoke at the meeting.
SEMINAR: An organizational seminar of the Lions Club was held at the auditorium of Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry here on Thursday evening.
District governor of the club, Irshad Ahmed Arain was the chief guest while Ramzan Ali J Sidi presided over the seminar.
Turab Ali Khuwaja and Faseehula Karim Siddiqui delivered lectures on organizational setup and qualities, duties and responsibilities of the Lion leaders and workers.
Mr Arain stressed the need to work for the welfare of humanity and well being of patients. He urged the members to work with devotion and sincerity.

PAF EXAMS: The officer commanding PAF recruitment office Hyderabad has notified for the information of matric pass C-grade candidates who had got themselves registered under entry no 2002-01 for the posts of aero tech/aero sport (airmen) that their examinations would be held on Sunday at Public School Latifabad Unit No. 3.
The candidates from interior Sindh have been specially advised to try to reach the examination hall on time.
MARCH: Islami Jamiat-I-Tulba Hyderabad has announced that it would stage defence of Islam march on October 23 which will be led by the central president of the IJT, Mushtaq Ahmed Afghani.
Talking to party workers at meeting held here on Friday, the Hyderabad nazim of the IJT, Umer Farooq said that the organization would hold protest meetings in the city colleges daily.
