Man shot dead

MINGORA, Oct 7: A man was shot dead and two others suffered bullet injuries in the Qamber village on Sunday.

Pir Mohammad Khan was killed, Arsala Khan and Sharifullah Khan got injuries and were admitted to a local hospital. The complainant Arshala Khan has accused Nisar, Sharifullah and Amanullah Khan of killing Pir Muhammad Khan.

The accused are yet to be held. The reason of the murder is stated to a disputed piece of land.

WOMAN HELD: A woman was arrested at the Ghaligay police checkpost with a six kilogram hashish on Sunday.

It was informed that a woman Rabia is in possession of hashish on search by the lady police constables the information was found correct. The woman was sent to the lock up.

Employees: The surplus employees of the district council are yet to be readjusted in different departments in Swat. They have also not been given the salary for the month of September.

Iqbal Hussein, senior vice president of the Local Government Employees Federation, NWFP, in a statement on Sunday expressed his shock over the situation and criticized the concerned authorities for not fulfilling their duties in this regard.
