KARACHI: Indian team meets officials today

KARACHI, Oct 7: A seven-member Indian fisheries delegation will meet Pakistani officials at the Karachi Fish Harbour on Monday.

The delegation led by deputy director of the Gujarat Fisheries, J.J Parmar, arrived here on Sunday morning. It will discuss the arrangement of repatriation of 196 Indian fishermen with 32 boats, whose release had been ordered by the Pakistan government.

On its arrival here, the delegation was received by vice-chairman of the Fishermen Cooperative Society, Haji Shafi Mohammad Jamote and FCS manager FCS, Haji Ghazanfar Ali Boota.

According to an FCS official, it will take two weeks for the completion of repatriation of the detained fishermen. He said that out of the 32 boats, 13 had been repaired so far.
