KARACHI: Housewife commits suicide

KARACHI, Oct 7: A young housewife committed suicide in Sachal goth on Sunday.

The police said that Gulshan Bibi, aged 19, shot her self in the temple with her husband’s pistol in her house in Sachal goth in the morning. The body was sent to Jinnah Post-graduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for post-mortem.

The police said that Gulshan’s husband, Hameed Joyo, a newspaper hawker, was not present in the house at the time of the incident. The police described domestic quarrel between man and wife as the cause of suicide. The couple had no children.

DROWNED: Partially decomposed body of an unidentified man was fished out of the sea on Sunday. The police said that the body was fished out of the sea near Berth No 24 of KPT, East Wharf, in the morning.

The body was sent to Civil Hospital for post-mortem. It has been kept in the Edhi’s morgue for identification.

ROAD ACCIDENT: At least four persons were injured when the minibus they were travelling in overturned in Tipu Sultan on Sunday.

The police said that a minibus of route No D-1 (PE-3276) was coming from Orangi Town carrying a wedding party. When it reached near the Tipu Sultan traffic signal, its brakes failed, and it overturned.

The injured were taken to the JPMC. The police claimed to have arrested the driver of the minibus.
