PESHAWAR: Three DCOs made OSDs

PESHAWAR, Oct 5: As a result of the first reshuffle of District Coordination Officers in the NWFP following the introduction of district government system on Aug 14 last, three DCOs were made officials on special duty (OSDs) here on Thursday.

Those removed as DCOs, include two grade-20 officers and one of grade-18, according to a notification issued by the establishment department.

These officers include Said Khan Orakzai(BPS-20), who was DCO Bannu; Zaibullah Khan (BPS-20), who was DCO, Mansehra; and Zain Khan Khalil (BPS-18), who was DCO, Charsadda.

They have been directed to report to the establishment department.

Mohammed Younas Dhaga (BPS-19), who had recently resumed duty after a long leave, was posted as DCO, Mansehra, and Sardar Mohammad Abbas (BPS-19), senior economist in the finance department, was posted as DCO, Bannu.

Besides, Zubair Shah (BPS-18), who was an OSD, was posted as DCO, Charsadda.

Graduation ceremony: The graduation ceremony of 106 Flying instructor’s course was held here at the Flying Instructor’s School at PAF Academy, Risalpur, on Friday. Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb Khan, Air Officer Commanding PAF Academy Risalpur was the chief guest on the occasion.

The ceremony included award of certificates to successful participants of the qualified flying instructor’s course.

Squadron leader Shahryar Khan won the trophy for best allround performance in the course. GOC Army Aviation Command Best in Academics Trophy went to Squadron Leader Bilal Niazi.

The Graduating batch, besides the PAF officers, included six officers from the Pakistan Army, one from the Pakistan Navy and one from UAE Air Force.

Speaking on the occasion, Air Marshal Aurangzeb Khan said: “Your task is prophetic. Your diligence and keenness to impart flying instructions will therefore, determine the calibre of your students, as well as the character of your service in the years to come. Resultantly, you are expected to pursue your ultimate objective of raising a combat effective force, by graduating professionally sound and morally upright officer.”

He also exhorted each one of them to be an embodiment of professionalism and other virtues to become role models for their students.

The chief guest congratulated the officer commanding and the instructors of flying instructor’s school for their efforts in accomplishing their task safely and in a professional manner. He also congratulated the graduating officers.

Earlier, the officer commanding flying instructor school presented his course report and highlighted the salient features of the course.

LLB SUPPL EXAMS: The University of Peshawar has announced that LLB Part I, II and III supplementary examination, 2000, will commence from Oct 24.

Last date for submitting exam forms is Oct 12, while roll numbers of college students will be sent in due course of time.

The students have been directed to contact the principals of their respective colleges before the commencement of exams for obtaining their roll numbers.
